Vale: McConnell, James
It is with deep regret that I must inform you of the passing of a real gentleman.
Mr James McConnell, High Commissioner Clan Donald Australia (retired), and serving Commissioner for Clan Donald New South Wales passed away in Sydney, New South Wales, last Friday. His funeral is to be held at the Knox College, (This coming Wednesday 2nd July 2008) where he served for so many years, and was still a member of the Old Knox Grammarians. He was referred to by a previous Headmaster as "One of the Saints of Knox Grammar."
Our thoughts are with Margaret, and their immediate family at this time of immense grief.

But an honest man's aboon his might -
Guid faith, he mauna fa' that!
For a' that, an a' that,
Their dignities, an a' that,
The pith o sense an pride o worth.
